According to the rising demand for deionized water in power plants and related challenges, the importance of modern design to provide sustainable water is vital while the contemporary techniques are not efficient. In this regard, the contract for the study of supplying deionized water for Shahid Salimi Neka Power Plant was awarded to the participation of Persia Optimized Designing Co. (POD) and Pars Arian Ab consulting engineers (PAA) in 2023. Based on the approach of POD in increasing the efficiency of deionized water production, reducing environmental impacts and optimizing energy consumption, the application of new EDI technology in combination with reverse osmosis was offered. In addition, due to the importance of sustainable water resources for power plant processes, different operational scenarios were evaluated by developing an intelligent modeling systems. In this regard, the conceptual and detailed plan was approved by the client, and in the following, the qualified contractor was assessed in the bidding process under the supervision of POD and PAA in 2023.
